Web-Digital Illustration

I really enjoyed working on projects from this Web-Digital Illustration class. Throughout the semester, I learned so much about using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, and how each program plays a unique role in creating digital artwork. I had the opportunity to experiment with photo editing, digital illustration, and layout design, which helped me grow both technically and creatively. These projects challenged me to think more critically about composition, color, and visual storytelling while also allowing me to express my personal style. Below are some of my favorite pieces from the class. Each one represents not just my progress with the software, but also my passion for design and the creativity I’ve developed along the way.

For this food truck project, I chose to celebrate one of the most iconic and beloved street foods from my home country, Uganda — the Rolex. A Rolex is a flavorful Ugandan wrap made with fried eggs, fresh tomatoes, onions, and shredded cabbage, all rolled up in a warm chapati. It’s simple, delicious, and full of local character, a true taste of everyday Ugandan life. I wanted my food truck to capture that same spirit: fresh ingredients, vibrant flavors, and a sense of home in every bite. The crested crane is Uganda’s national bird and I had to include it to represent Uganda as a country.
